We stay informed of the most recent permitting requirements, and can be specific to your project goals. We have the resources in-house to complete nearly all of the requirements onsite, therefore eliminating extra costs and time spent.
Our Services:
o Develop the permit application
o Plan a Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) for sampling approval
o Perform macroinvertebrate and fish collections for determination of biological integrity of receiving waters.
- Receiving waters = waters that receive effluent from outfalls
o Collect water quality data on site via specialized equipment. Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), conductivity, pH, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), turbidity, stream flow (cf/s), etc
o Perform water sample collection in cooperation with certified laboratories
o Upload and transfer all data, reports and permits to state officials

Important (Kentucky) KPDES Dates to remember:
Jan. 1, 2012:
Individual mining permits require approved QAPP for quarters prior to permit & annual stream biological assessment during mining process.
July 31, 2014:
All existing & future general mining permits require stream biological sampling downstream of mine in respective HUC 14 watershed.
