Wetland Services, Inc. GIS Specialists provide support for all areas of expertise and routinely develop data for numerous 404 Permitting and Stream design-related projects.  Basic GIS support services include data collection, reprojection, development and editing various standard data layers, such as land use, soils, and topography, hydrography and drainage basin delineations.  Our GIS services also Carlson for stream design.

Wetland Services, Inc. is proficient in the application of ESRI’s ArcHydro tools and have developed a unique set of proficiencies including expertise in the following:

  • Global Positioning
  • Ecological site evaluations
  • Ecorestoration design
  • Surface water modeling
  • Floodplain study
  • Programming of databases & application tools

ESRI’s ArcGIS is used for all of our GIS needs.  ArcHydro is used with Spatial Analyst and 3D analyst to create drainage basins and drainage networks.  In addition, we use Carlson Civil to create in-depth stream designs.

Wetland Services, Inc. uses the most up to date aerial information available for each project.  These data sources can include NAIP aerials, county aerials or geo-referenced aerial photography.

Our GIS Specialist regularly assists field crews and engineers in accurate determination and delineation of important watershed features, such as wetlands and waterways.
