Wetland Services, Inc. specializes in performing biological surveys for macroinvertebrates, fish and freshwater mussels. Our staff is experienced in performing taxonomic identification and compiling biological reports for use in site assessments, 404/401 and NPDES/KPDES Clean Water Act permitting.
Utilizing specialized equipment, such as electrofishers, seines and various catchment devises, we have the ability to complete assessment requirements under a diverse set of conditions. We have the ability to test water samples via hand held equipment and data logging technology to increase efficiency, and have developed strong working relations with state certified water sampling laboratories.
We’ve recently expanded our services to performing surveys for wildlife resources and threatened and endangered species. We have the capability to perform surveys for various small mammal species, amphibians, reptiles, avian species presence and native flora. Survey techniques vary depending on species, and we will collaborate with universities and respected environmental groups when needed to complete these projects on an as needed basis.
Biological surveys and reports are often time sensitive due to regulatory defined collection seasons. We have the staff and resources to get the project done according to your schedule.
